Marvel Studios have finally released the official trailer for Loki, which will be debuting on Disney Plus on June 11. Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, the God of mischief will step out of his brother’s shadow and into his own tv show. Loki will see Marvel enter into an unprecedented territory by centring the show around crime thriller.
Tom Hiddleston will play Loki from an alternate timeline where he used the Tesseract to escape the Avengers in 2012. While many thought that Loki had met his end through the mad titan’s hand, Marvel found a different way to bring back the character. For those who don’t remember, Loki was last seen escaping with the tesseract in Avengers: Endgame.
The six-episode mini-series will see Loki being captured by the Time Variance Authority for rupturing the space-time continuum. The trickster God will have to work with the TVA to fix all the timelines that the latter broke.
The buddy comedy between Tom Hiddleston’s (Loki) and Owen Wilson (Mobius M. Mobius) seemed pretty good in the trailer which gives us high hopes going into the series. The show will likely see the duo travel across many worlds and timelines to fix the breach in reality.
Loki has been a fan favourite character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so it’s no surprise that its trailer has sent fans into a frenzy. Check it out below!
Despite 2020 being a Marvel drought, 2021 has been an exciting time for fans. If the current release schedule remains unchanged, we might be getting new Marvel content almost every other month.
The fact that Marvel brings in a unique approach to its Disney Plus shows makes it interesting to the audience as well. WandaVision brought in a sitcom style while The Falcon and The Winter Soldier put forward a different take as well.
